Braham authorities investigating Sunday trailer home fire

Braham authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon fire that resulted in the total loss of a residence.

According to a news release from the Braham Police Department, a fire at a trailer home under construction on Central Drive West was reported just after 3 p.m.

When Braham police officers and Isanti County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived on scene, two adjacent homes were also on fire.

Officers evacuated the two adjacent homes, rescuing a female party and one of two cats. The other is unaccounted for.

According to the release, it appears the female resident's home is a total loss.

The Braham police and fire departments are investigating the cause of the blaze with the state fire marshal's office.
