The Braham city council accepted the resignation of two Braham police officers earlier this month. The department had already lost another officer earlier this year.
Council asked if any current part-time officers would be accepting of moving into the full-time position but Braham Police Chief Eric Baumgart stated none were willing at the time.
Chief Baumgart recommended council approve of an officer replacement but warned that it will be difficult due to the current hiring situation around the state.
One of the officers leaving had served over 20 years on the Braham police force as a transcriptionist and will be greatly missed at the department.
Council approved of the hire recommendation, there is no plan set yet to replace the two resigning officers.
