Bridge closure to start June 9 for Ann River project

Work on the Ann River bridge replacement project in Kanabec County will begin with a bridge closure starting on June 9.

According to Kanabec County public works director Chad Gramentz, the bridge on County-State Aid Highway 6, west of Mora, will be under construction until the end of September.

A detour will take motorists from Jade Street, to 240th Avenue, to State Highway 47.

Starting Aug. 1, CSAH 6 will be resurfaced from 47 to Grove Street in Mora.

Maple Avenue from Grove Street to Union Street will also be reconstructed in conjunction with the Mora Lake outlet pipe project. Work is expected to begin after July 4.
