Burglary Suspect Arrested in Isanti County

One is in custody after a burglary was reported in Isanti Township on Monday, November 21.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement was called around 10:00 a.m. with the report of a suspicious male in camouflage walking around the exterior of a building in the 3100 block of 305th Avenue NE.


Deputies were able to follow a series of footprints in the snow around the buildings, which led them east into a wooded swamp area.


A suspect was reportedly spotted on the swamp line, where he appeared to be under the influence of a substance. He was later identified as 45-year-old William Edward Miller.


Further investigation indicated that Miller had entered structures on the property.


He was arrested on second-degree burglary charges.
