Candidate filing for special Ogilvie school board election to begin July 29

The candidate filing period for an Ogilvie school board seat will begin on July 29.

A special election will be held on Nov. 4, after the board accepted the resignation of Jim Hanna earlier this year.

Hanna, who served on the board for 14 months, vacated his seat due to moving out of the school district.

Candidates are eligible to file to run for the seat until Aug. 12. The winner of the election will serve for a three-year term.

The board appointed Carl Boudreau to the open seat in the interim at a special meeting in March.
