A Chisago County man was sentenced last Thursday for unlawfully possession a firearm as a felon and for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
36-year-old Derrick Hoff was involved in a road rage incident back in July of 2020 in which he ran a vehicle off the road, fired multiple shots at the two occupants, and rammed the vehicle on the side of the road before abandoning his pickup truck.
Deputies recovered Hoff and his truck and recovered a 9mm semiautomatic weapon, live ammunition, over 167 grams of actual methamphetamine and other drug-sale paraphernalia.
Hoff pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a firearm as a felon and one count of possession with intent to distribute and was sentenced to 175 months in jail and 5 years of supervised release.
