One man is dead following a crash that took place in Sunrise Township Monday afternoon.
According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Department, authorities responded to a crash on Keystone Avenue east of North Branch where a car slammed into the back of a dump truck that was waiting to turn into a driveway.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was flown from the scene to Hennepin Health in Minneapolis in critical condition. The adult male was later pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor in the crash; the crash is still under investigation.
