Foley man dies in single-vehicle rollover crash in Mille Lacs County

A 67-year-old Foley man died in a one-vehicle rollover crash in Mille Lacs County on Friday.

According to the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported at about 7:45 a.m. in the 15000 block of 130th Street in Foreston.

Sheriff Kyle Burton said the driver was ejected from his vehicle after losing control on the icy roadway and going into the ditch.

The driver, identified as Foley resident Craig Anson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Burton said the road conditions appeared to be the cause of the crash.

"It appears icy road conditions were the culprit involved with that particular crash," he said. "Just another good reminder that seatbelts save lives, because they do."

The sheriff's office and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash.

Foreston Fire and Rescue, North Ambulance Service, and the state patrol assisted at the scene.
