The Foley Police Department investigated a bomb threat made against a business on Tuesday morning.

According to a news release from police chief Katie McMillin, Foley officers and Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Grand Champion Meats just before 8 a.m. on the report of a bomb threat.

The release states that staff received a phone call from an individual who said the business needed to terminate an employee, or the caller would blow up the building.

All staff evacuated the building and contacted law enforcement.

Officers established a perimeter and searched the building after evaluating the threat. Nothing suspicious was found inside the business.

The investigation is ongoing.
