The Foley Police Department is missing another warning regarding a scam that has popped up in the area, this time targeting teens.
According to authorities, several residents have encountered people sending friend requests to teens on social media with no real connection. The person will then take their media and photoshop normal photos into extremely inappropriate ones and blackmail them or they will release the photos.
Authorities ask that parents have some access to their children’s social media activity and make sure they only accept friend requests from people they know.
