Highway 23 Construction Set to Begin Next Week

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is warning drivers of road closures and detours as they begin their Highway 23 reconstruction starting next week.


The project will look to improve 13.5 miles of Highway 23 from Foley to Milaca, Improvements will include resurfacing and widening lanes, upgrading rumble strips, guardrails, overhead lighting, new roundabout and more.


A detour route has already been established, running south on Highway 169 to County Road 12 east all the way into Foley.


Closures and construction will begin on Monday, May 9th, For more information on the project and projected detour routes you can check out the project details on the MN DOT website. The project is expected to be completed by November.
