A two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night on Highway 65 in Isanti County resulted in a fatality.
According to a news release from the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded just before midnight to a crash at the intersection of 65 and County Road 9 in Athens Township.
Law enforcement was directed to a vehicle where a female driver had no pulse. She was extricated, and CPR was administered before medical personnel arrived.
She was transported to Mercy Hospital and later pronounced deceased. Her identity has not yet been released, pending positive identification.
The second driver, identified as a 32-year-old Cambridge woman in the state patrol incident report, sustained minor injuries.
The incident report states that it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The state patrol is investigating the crash. The Cambridge and Isanti police departments, Isanti Fire, and Isanti County Safety and Rescue assisted at the scene.
