Isanti voters head to the polls for special mayoral election

Isanti voters will head to the polls today to decide the mayoral contest between interim mayor Luke Merrill and former mayor Jeff Johnson.
Polling sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at both Isanti City Hall and the Isanti Community Center.
The winner will serve through the end of 2026, finishing the term of former mayor Jimmy Gordon.
Gordon ran as a Republican and defeated DFL candidate Tim Dummer for the District 28A state representative seat in November's general election.
Results will be shared when they become available.
