The intersection of Highway 70 and County Road 11 in Kanabec County will now be an all-way stop after new signage was installed Thursday.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the change to the intersection just north of Brunswick was made to increase safety. It was previously a two-way stop.
MnDOT installed signs and pavement markings along Highway 70 to accommodate the change. Stop signs are already in place on County Road 11.
Signs will also be placed in advance of all approaches to the intersection to warn drivers of the shift.
MnDOT says motorists should use caution during the changeover process.
