A Level 3 sex offender who was released from custody in September and briefly lived in Sherburne County is planning to move back to the area.
The state's Department of Corrections on Wednesday informed local authorities 34-year-old David Kangas Jr. would be moving back into the county for some duration of time.
Kangas, who served a prison sentence for sexually assaulting a teenage girl, will move into the vicinity of rural Princeton. The DOC also said that Kangas intends to relocate to another county in the near future so his stay in Sherburne could be brief.
A community notification meeting regarding Kangas will be held at the Zimmerman Public Safety Building on Fifth Street West on Monday January 31st at 5 p.m.
