A Mora couple is in custody in relation to the death of a 47-year-old Makinen, MN man.
St. Louis County Deputies were called to the victim's address for a welfare check in October of 2019 after he had not been seen or heard in several days. According to law enforcement, the victim was found dead on the property; the death was ultimately ruled a homicide.
On Thursday, June 11, 53-year-old J. Nicholas Cramer and 46-year-old Michelle L. Cramer were arrested in the City of Anoka by St. Louis County Investigators along with Special Agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
J. Nicholas Cramer was arrested without incident, but Michelle L. Cramer fled on foot and was taken into custody around 30 minutes later.
The Cramers have been booked into the St. Louis County jail in Duluth, where they are charged with felony Aid and Abet Second Degree Murder. Their bail is set at $1 million.
