The Dollar General location currently under construction at 140 Little Ranchers Road in Mora is on schedule to open within the coming weeks, according to a Dollar General Corporation public relations representative.
In an email, the PR representative said construction progress could alter the timeline for the store’s opening. The new location will not be a Dollar General Market format, but will offer fresh produce and affordable food options for consumers. Those options will include grains, dairy products, eggs, lean proteins, and canned and/or frozen fruits and vegetables.
According to the email, the new Dollar General’s produce set will provide the top 20 items typically sold in grocery stores and will represent approximately 80 percent of produce categories carried by most grocers. Those include lettuce, tomatoes, onions, apples, strawberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lemons, limes, and salad mixes.
