The Mustangs hosted Granite Ridge Conference foe, Zimmerman last night.
Zimmerman won the tip off and scored immediately. The Thunder were able to build off of that. But Mora put an end to the Thunder run and went on a run of their own. Before long the Mustangs had taken the lead. Zimmerman then turned things around and took back the lead. After the Thunder regained the lead, both teams were trading one point leads for nearly half of the opening period. The Mustangs were able to break free and build up a ten point lead going into halftime 40-30. At the start of the 2nd half you could almost feel that Mora was about to pull away. The Mustangs did just that. At one point in the 2nd half Mora held a twenty point lead over the Thunder. With little time left Mora subbed in their bench players. They did a good job draining the clock and not giving up too many points. Mora would grab their eighth conference win 65-52. Ben Wright lead the team with 19 points, followed by Andrew Rasmusson with 11 and Lucas Athey with 10.
Mora improved to 17-6 on the season. They will travel to Albany on Friday in hopes of beating them for the second time this season.
