Mystery Chemicals at Princeton Wastewater Plant

Writer's picture: Andrew DeVallAndrew DeVall

The Princeton Wastewater Plant has encountered more mystery chemicals that are affecting operation.

The chemicals are disrupting the system and are causing operation costs to grow.

Princeton has placed samplers around the city sewer lines and have reached out to the MPCA to help locate and identify the chemicals being introduced.

The city asks that nothing besides water and human waste be disposed of through the sewer drains.

If you have any chemicals that need to be properly disposed of, you reach out to the Princeton Wastewater Plant, The Mille Lacs County Environmental Resources or Sherburne County Solid Waste.
