Residents in and around Elk River are invited to come out to voice their opinion on a new trail project being proposed near the city.
The city is looking to install a new trail on County State Aid Highway 33 from Highway 169 to CSAH 13. The county is looking to reconstruct Highway 33 between Auburn Street and Twin Lakes Road in 2023 and will be looking to implement the new trail during that time.
The trail would be two miles in length and 10 feet wide, the Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission recently recommended the new trail to the corridor as it aligns with the City’s trail master plan.
The meeting will be held on Monday, February 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Elk River City Hall, if you can’t attend you are send your comments to the Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission.
