North Branch burglary, pursuit leads to three arrests

A burglary in North Branch and ensuing police pursuit resulted in three arrests early Thursday.


According to North Branch police chief Dan Meyer, a burglary in progress was reported at a mini storage facility in the area of 360th Street and Forest Boulevard at about 3:20 a.m.


Upon officer arrival, three suspects immediately fled the scene in a vehicle.


The North Branch Police Department was assisted by the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office and other area agencies in the following pursuit, which ended in the city of Wyoming.


The vehicle was discovered to be stolen out of Saint Paul.


The three suspects who were arrested are 36-year-old Ryan Plonski, of Jordan; 35-year-old Selena Wild, of Blaine; and 32-year-old Nathan Johnson, of Clear Lake, Wisconsin.


Plonski and Johnson had outstanding warrants. All three were charged with fourth-degree burglary.


Johnson was also charged with giving a peace officer a fake name, and being a fugitive from justice from another state. Plonski's charges also include fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation of a license, and possession of stolen property.
