Ogilvie Public Schools has been approved to continue its four-day school week structure.
According to superintendent Kathy Belsheim, the Minnesota Department of Education approved the schedule for the next two school years.
"The four-day school week, it works," Belsheim said. "It works for our families, it works for our staffing, and for the kids. So we're very, very pleased the state has approved the next two years under that structure."
Belsheim said the state wants to ensure that academic progress is being met to keep in compliance.
The Ogilvie School Board voted to reapply for the four-day school week earlier this spring.

Pine County Sheriff's Office asks for assistance in finding missing teen
The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating 15-year-old Zoe Oswald, who was last seen in Brook Park on June 1.
Oswald’s last known location was on June 9 near the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Law enforcement believes she could be in the Coon Rapids area.
She was last seen wearing a crop top and faded ripped jeans. She also has multiple tattoos on her hands, back, chest, and sternum.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pine County Sheriff’s Office.
Kanabec County Extension/4-H Office to move
The Kanabec County Board of Commissioners approved a plan to move the county extension and 4-H office during a meeting earlier this month.
The office is currently located in the Public Services building, but the commissioners have looked for a more public-facing spot. The alternative is the former EDA office on the first floor of the county courthouse.
According to 4-H Coordinator Nicole Priebe, the plan is to move into that space during the fall or early winter, due to a busy schedule of summer activities.
The commissioners’ long-term plan for the office is to move it to where Veterans Services is located after that department moves to the new memorial building.
