The Ogilvie School Board has continued discussions over a procedure for challenged materials in the media center.
The topic was broached by board clerk Kathy Beck following a survey that was sent out by the state library service.
Beck said the district has a policy for the selection of materials but not for how to navigate challenged materials.
"It was one that I had created and gotten approved by the superintendent at that time for selection and deselection of materials and ordering," Beck said. "But I think what we're in need of also is that I don't think there's a challenged materials procedure that had ever been created."
The board had previously discussed creating a similar procedure following a meeting this summer.
The goal is to get the process started and add it to the agenda of the next school board meeting.
