Ogilvie School District residents will see two additional ballot questions on their November ballots as the school district moves forward with an operating levy and bond referendum measure.

The school approved of moving forward with the special ballot questions during their first meeting in August. The operating levy would look to seek roughly $720 per student for a ten year duration.

Ogilvie Superintendent Kathy Belshiem touched on the ten year levy duration.

"We wouldn't have to go back to the taxpayers for the next ten years, asking for more support for the operations of the school."

The bonding measure will consist of two questions: One which seeks just over $7 million dollars to enhance security measures, complete roof replacements and general facility improvements with the second question seeking to complete HVAC improvements which the district has already begun.

Both bond parts can move forward without the other passing as well. Both levy and bonding measures will be on the November 8th ballot.
