One Drowned After Capsized Boat On Mille Lacs Lake

A man has passed away after drowning on Mille Lacs Lake Wednesday night

According to the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Department, a boat capsized due to a wave near Cash’s Landing in Vineland, sending four individuals overboard.

A Mille Lacs tribal officer was at the scene and was able to recover some of the individuals using a rowboat nearby.

One individual was transported to Onamia hospital where they were later pronounced deceased, the other three passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
