From the City of Pine City:
For homeowners within the City of Pine City there are currently two programs which can help them make lasting repairs to their homes: (1) the Small Cities Development Program offered through a partnership with Lakes & Pines Community Action Council, Inc. and (2) the Affordable Housing Program offered through a collaboration with Cambridge State Bank with funding provided by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Both of these programs still have funding left so homeowners who meet the income eligibility guidelines are encouraged to apply.
Small Cities Development Program
On June 25, the Council will be reviewing a request from Lakes & Pines to expand the target area for the housing rehabilitation project. Initially, the project was targeted to homes on located in the City’s “West-Central” neighborhood which is located south of the Snake River, north of Hillside Avenue SW and west of Main Street. If the target area is expanded, it will include the “Fairgrounds” and “Woodpecker Ridge” neighborhoods. Overall, there have been 4 eligible applicants and there remains enough funding to help an additional 10 more homeowners with forgivable loans of up to $25,000. Interested homeowners should contact Lakes & Pines at 320.679.1800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request an application.
Affordable Housing Program
The City of Pine City also has funds available from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines’ Affordable Housing Program to help income-eligible homeowners. To date, there have been 6 eligible applications and there remains enough funding to help an additional 6 more homeowners with grants of up to $25,000. Interested homeowners should contact the Community Development Department at the City of Pine City at 320.629.2575 or email email@example.com to request an application.
All program guidelines and application packets are available on the City’s website.
