Princeton man dies in motorcycle crash near Elk Lake

A 27-year-old Princeton man died in a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Elk Lake late Thursday.

According to a Sherburne County Sheriff's Office news release, the crash occurred at about 11:15 p.m. at 146th Street and 285th Avenue Northwest, southwest of Princeton.

Witnesses observed the operator, identified as Andrew Steadman, traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash.

The investigation, including whether alcohol played a role, is ongoing.
