Public Hearing Set For North Branch ATV Ordinance

The city of North Branch will be holding a public hearing next week in regards to their proposed ATV/UTV street ordinance for residents to comment on.


Under the proposed ordinance, residents can operate such vehicles on the right shoulder or the extreme right-hand side of city streets with a North Branch Operator Permit and registration sticker. All drivers born after July 1st, 1987 will also be required to have completed an ATV safety course.


Anybody over the age of 12 can apply for a city operator permit but anyone under the age of 18 is required to wear a DOT approved safety helmet.


The public hearing will be taking place on Tuesday, June 28th at 7:00 p.m. th the North Branch City Hall. For more information on the ordinance, you can check out the city of North Branch’s website.
