Trail officials in East Central Minnesota are warning riders of dangerous and inappropriate trail riding that has been seen over the past week.
Officials have noted riders traveling at excessive speeds on trails, especially at night. Speed limit signs are posted along trails to be followed based on good conditions. Riders should also be slowing down during night rides and not to out-drive your headlights.
Another issue that has been noted is riders going outside of the trail markers, especially on private land. Officials warn riders to stay on the marked trails and going outside them could lose that part of the trail for good.
For full state trail conditions, you can check out the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' website.
