Rush City Prevails over Mora at Home

Thursday night a Great River battle in Rush City was held. Both Mora and Rush City came into the night with undefeated records in the early season.
Despite holding leads in each of the three sets, Mora fell in straight sets to Rush City. Never was a lead more than 8 points by either team. The Tigers fought their way to a 25-17, 25-23, 25-21 victory.
Senior Alice Anderson of Mora was one of the Pine Insurance players of the game. Anderson was responsible for four kills and added an ace on the night. She said that the Mustangs came into the match hoping to play their best of the season. They were successful in that. She also spoke of her excitement for the remainder of the season. “We’re still going to get better and hit that peak.”
On the Rush City side, Abigail Telander was the other Pine Insurance player of the game. Tallying up 13 kills and two aces. Telander was impressed with the environment. She noted the “intensity of the gym” as an important experience for teams looking to advance in playoffs at the end of the season.
Rush City will travel to Braham to face the Bombers on Tuesday.
Mora will be at home against Ogilvie on Tuesday.
