A 21-year-old Rochester resident was arrested and charged with being an accomplice to murder after the fact in a Mille Lacs County homicide case on March 23.
According to the criminal complaint, Alexis Elling admitted to law enforcement that she knowingly helped Isle resident Bradley Weyaus move a storage tote containing the body of victim Rodney Pendegayosh.
Officials were aware Elling was in a relationship with Weyaus.
The criminal complaint also states that Elling indicated that Weyaus told her he killed Pendegayosh, and that she did not help put the body in the tote.
Public works employees found the tote on Twilight Road near Mille Lacs Lake on Tuesday, March 21. Weyaus has been charged with second-degree murder in the case.
The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office will hold a news conference on Tuesday, March 28 to discuss further details about the case.
