Tim Dolan, the District 3 Commissioner for Sherburne County, announced that he will not be seeking re-election after suffering a medical emergency last month.
According to a release, Dolan suffered a nearly fatal ascending aortic dissection during the county’s May 17th meeting. Dolan was transported to North Memorial Hospital where he underwent open heart surgery that lasted over 12 hours.
The commissioner stated that he will now use the next several months to focus on his family, physical recovery, and living a healthier life. Dolan also stated that it has been an honor to serve the region and serve alongside his colleagues, staff and friends for the last six years.
