Sherburne County Receives CALEA Accreditation

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office has recently been awarded national accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

The commission program was created back in 1979 and awards departments based on meeting standards in management and service delivery.

The goals of the commission are to establish fair and nondiscriminatory personnel practices, increase community and staff confidence and improve interagency cooperation

"We're proud of the dedication and commitment to excellence among all our employees," expressed Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott, "This accreditation shows that an outside agency also recognizes that commitment.”"

Sherburne County is the first Minnesota law enforcement agency to earn the CALEA accreditation since 2013.
