Snake River Bridge Project Moves to Phase Two

The Snake River Bridge Reconstruction Project in Mora is moving into its second phase, with crews beginning work on the northbound side.

The $5.8 million project will provide a new wider bridge, which includes a new multi-use trail along the west side as well as improve pedestrian crossing at Division Street and storm water drainage to the Snake River.

Crews are advising drivers that the lanes on Highway 65/23 will remain narrow with a width limit of eight feet in effect. Oversized loads are not permitted in the entire work zone and pedestrians are not allowed on the bridge.

For more information and detours, you can check out the project page on the Minnesota Department of Transportation website. The project is expected to be completed by November.
