Southbound I-35 ramps at Highway 48 in Hinckley to close starting July 7

MnDOT will close the southbound I-35 ramps at Highway 48 in Hinckley starting on Monday, July 7.

According to a news release, southbound I-35 traffic will be detoured at Exit 191 and routed to Pine County Road 61 to Highway 48.

Highway 48 traffic will be detoured west to Pine County Road 61 to Highway 23, and onto southbound I-35 at Exit 180.

The ramps are slated to reopen on Wednesday, July 30.

MnDOT will also close I-35 northbound near Hinckley to complete shoulder repairs in the work zone on Wednesday evening. 

The interstate will be closed and detoured starting at 10 p.m. and is expected to reopen at midnight.

The closures are part of an ongoing bridge replacement and pavement resurfacing project, which will go through the fall. MnDOT warns motorists to expect delays during peak travel times.
