Spire, Hiway to rebrand as Blaze Credit Union in January

Spire and Hiway credit unions will be rebranded as Blaze Credit Union once the merger is made official on Jan. 1.

The combined credit union will have about $4 billion in assets and serve nearly a quarter of a million members in Minnesota.

That will make it the state’s fourth largest credit union.

Blaze will retain all of Spire and Hiway’s 600-plus employees, and all 26 branches will remain in operation.

Hiway members approved the merger in a vote in September.
