Two individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene of a house explosion in Princeton Township on Tuesday morning.
According to the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office, multiple 911 callers reported a possible explosion in the 8200 block of 85th Avenue just before 4 a.m.
Deputies arrived at 8242 52nd St. and located a debris field from an apparent explosion that remained on fire. The blaze was extinguished by multiple fire departments.
First responders located the two victims in the debris. An adult male was identified as Royce Kreger Jr., and an adult female was identified as Katherine Kreger.
A family dog was also located deceased in the debris.
The Minnesota Fire Marshal's Office and Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of the explosion.
