A 33-year-old Balsam Lake Wis. man is dead following a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash Saturday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Michael Yost was walking in or near traffic lanes on Highway 48. Yost was struck by a GMC Sierra that was driven by a 60-year-old Hinckley man.
The GMC was traveling eastbound on the highway a mile from I35 when it struck the victim.
The report says that roads were covered in snow and ice at the time of the crash, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
