Chisago Lakes Falls in Conference Double Header
Cambridge-Isanti took both of their basketball squads to Chisago Lakes on Tuesday night.
The girls teams played first, these two met before the Christmas break, and it was a close game that the Wildcats came away with. And they got off to a good start in this game. They captured an early lead and were able to keep that lead through much of the 1st half. Extreme cold watch to take effect Thursday in east-central Minnesota
An extreme cold watch is set to take effect on Thursday across east-central Minnesota, bringing dangerously cold wind chills to the region. According to the National Weather Service, the alert will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday in Pine County, and 9 p.m. elsewhere in east-central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Rush City hosted Milaca on Friday night.
These two teams run fairly similar, both play physical defense and more of a patient offense. This is exactly what we seen in the 1st half. Both teams tried to work the ball inside and find the easier layups but the defenses were stingy and there was not alot of room to even pass the ball.
