Grantsburg Moving Forward with Hockey Rink Transformation

The hockey rink in Grantsburg could be headed for a new and improved future.

The 20 members of the non-profit Grantsburg Hockey Association are attempting to raise $250,000 for a new sports complex instead.

Those funds would go towards a concrete slab, re-purposed or removable boards, and routine maintenance that would go together to create a mutli-sport complex in the area.

While the hockey association would be organizing the process, it would not be privatized, but rather intended for the entire community to use and enjoy.
