The Snow Angel Project, a new nonprofit in the Pine City area, is looking to spread joy and build community connections this year. Founder Jeremiah Mohr said, "The holiday season is a tough season for a lot of people. Whether they don't have any family visiting or money is tight, we want to make sure that we bring Christmas cheer to everyone in the community." Three Arrested after Two Stolen Vehicles Found in Pine City

Three are in custody after a report of suspicious activity led Pine County deputies to discover two vehicles stolen out of the Twin Cities. The incident happened on Monday, October 28, when a Pine City resident saw the group changing the oil of the vehicles in the parking lot of the Snake River Boat Landing across from the Pine County Fairgrounds. Sartell Woman Injured in Crash near Pine City

A 53-year-old Sartell woman was injured after her vehicle was struck by a semi in Pine City Wednesday morning. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jodi Thurston was stopped at the top of the ramp from southbound I35 to County Road 11 when it was rear-ended by the Semi. Thurston was taken by ambulance to a Mora hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Her passenger, 47-year-old Robert Thurston, was uninjured in the crash. #PineCity #CarCrash

Pine City's Birchwood Cemetery Hit by Vandals

The Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City became the newest target for vandals. According to the Pine County Sheriff's Office, the damage was caused last weekend, and a neighbor described a white Saturn with a loud exhaust picking up a female before 1:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17. The damage included several tombstones, a neighboring fence being painted with black spray-paint. A shed on the property was also painted with a swastika and other images. A Pine City Church is left looking for answers after it was burglarized over the weekend. Journey North Church reported a break-in to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, June 8. After three years with the district, Annette Freiheit has announced that she will be leaving her position as Superintendent of Pine City Public Schools.
