Three are in custody after a report of suspicious activity led Pine County deputies to discover two vehicles stolen out of the Twin Cities.
The incident happened on Monday, October 28, when a Pine City resident saw the group changing the oil of the vehicles in the parking lot of the Snake River Boat Landing across from the Pine County Fairgrounds.
An investigation by authorities revealed that one vehicle was stolen from Minneapolis, and the other was stolen from Brooklyn Center, and a further search of the vehicles led to the discovery of drugs, multiple cell phones, keys for other vehicles, and credit cards.
Samatha Zelinski and Shane Zelinski of Minneapolis and Cassie Sampson of Coon Rapids are currently facing charges of drugs, receiving stolen property, and giving a peace officer a fake name.
