The Braham School Board approved their 2021-22 school year budget as well as other measures at their June meeting.
The new school year budget will take effect on July 1st, with the school having the opportunity to make changes to staffing including adding another elementary school teacher and moving the school counselor position to full time.
Braham Superintendent Ken Gagner stated that while adding positions, finding applicants to fill those spots is becoming extremely difficult.
"There is a shortage of teacher, I really believe it is getting to a critical level."
The school board also looked into revisions to the school handbook, specifically regarding the policy around hats and hoods which will continued to be discussed this summer.
