Braham Wins Conference Game on the Road over Pine City

Pine City hosted Braham on Tuesday night.

Both teams got off to a decent start, but Pine City was able to match the pace that the Bombers set. This allowed the Dragons to keep the game close. You could sense Pine City had found some belief in their team, understanding they could stick with any team they faced. It was a back and forth battle, but turnovers started to pile up for Pine City, which Braham was able to capitalize on. This swung the game in Braham's favor, their defense began to feast on the loose ball, and the offense started to pull away. Soon it was a 20 point difference and it seemed as if there was no slowing down the Bombers. But just as the half was ending, Pine City called a timeout which proved to help. They ended the half on an 8-0 but trailed 43-27.

With momentum on their side the Dragons looked to start fast in the 2nd half but the Bomber defense was quick to shut them down. Once again takeaways were a big part of the game and allowed Braham to take most of them and turn them into points. The Bombers continued to pull away, but the Dragons showed alot of fight. As the half wore on, Braham was able to pull away by nearly 30 and as the game neared its end the backups were able to get some valuable time on the court for both teams. Braham came away with the victory 75-46.

Braham's next game will be against Aitkin at home, and the Dragons will also be at home to host H-F both on Thursday.
