Foley Beats Braham in Non-Conference Matchup

The Foley Falcons girls basketball team hosted the Braham Bombers in a highly anticipated matchup on Thursday night. Foley came into the game with an impressive 17-2 record and ranked third in the QRF in Class AA. Braham also had a great record. Coming into Thursday night, they were 15-5 and coming off their most difficult week of the season. Both teams held the top spots in their sections.
Foley was able to hold Braham at an arms length for the majority of the game. Their shooting and height proved to be the advantage as the Falcons went halftime break with a 29-26 lead over the Bombers.Â
Braham was able to hang around with Foley even through the first part of the second half. Foley was able to pull away as the second half progressed. The Falcons were able to open up a 20-point lead. The Bombers were able to chip away at that lead, but Foley finished the game winning 72-57.
Braham fell to 15-6 and will host Pine City on Monday.
Foley improved to 18-2 and will host Albany on Friday.
