Isanti County Board of Commissioners passes Second Amendment resolution

The Isanti County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution to symbolically become a Second Amendment dedicated county during Tuesday’s meeting.

Four resolutions were presented to the board. The commissioners adopted a resolution that also expressed opposition to House File 396 and Senate File 1723.

The Minnesota House legislation focuses on storage of guns and ammunition, and the Senate bill seeks to modify concealed carry restrictions.

Vice chair Alan Duff said passing the resolution shows support to the county sheriff and encourages state legislators.

The motion passed in a 3-2 vote.
