Milaca Wins in Battle of Two Old Rivals

In a battle of old rivals, Milaca hosted Mora in a section matchup on Monday night. Mora came in 11-4 and Milaca at 10-4.

Milaca started hot taking a 45-13 lead at one point. Madison and Annabelle Gothmann led the pace throughout that first half. 

Towards the last few minutes of the first half, however, Mora found their footing. The Mustangs finished the half on a 7-0 run. The score at the break was 45-20.

The second half was back and forth. Mora was able to largely keep pace with the Wolves. But getting down quick in the first half proved to be the difference as Milaca picked up a 71-40 victory over the Mustangs.

Mora fell to 11-5 and will travel to Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday night.

Milaca improved to 11-4 and will travel to Kimball on Tuesday night.
