Mille Lacs County announced grant funds are available for eligible businesses late last week.
The Mille Lacs County Pandemic Economic Relief Grant program is looking to distribute funds for local businesses that have been affected by Covid-19, including any business that was forced to close due to the executive order. Around $500,000 dollars have been made available from the state of Minnesota.
Eligible businesses may receive a one-time grant up to $10,000, with a minimum grant amount of $1,000, to assist with qualified expenses ranging from property taxes to utilities.
All local businesses can apply but priority for the grants will be given to businesses that did not qualify or receive a relief payment from the Department of Revenue.
Some ineligible businesses include non-profit organizations and businesses engaged in gambling enterprises.
Applications for the grant are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29th. You can find the application as well as more eligibility requirements on the Mille Lacs County website.
