Mora City Council adopts 2023 budget, tax levy

The Mora City Council adopted the 2023 budget and tax levy at Tuesday’s meeting.

The final levy is set at $1,504,099, and marks a 25.92 percent increase over the 2022 levy.

Mora’s total tax capacity is estimated to increase by 16.81%, based on Kanabec County estimates.

The budget and levy passed in a 4-1 vote. Council member Sadie Broekemeier was the lone dissenting vote.
