Election officials hand-counted votes cast in November’s general election from four precincts in Elk River, Big Lake, Clear Lake Township, and Haven Township.
The count, which involved 14,336 votes cast in four state races, resulted in a change of two votes in the District 6 U.S. Representative race. Republican Tom Emmer and challenger Jeanne Hendricks each gained a vote in the same precinct.
Two voters had marked the ballot for two candidates in that contest.
Sherburne County Auditor-Treasurer Diane Arnold said the election tabulators did their job “accurately and correctly.”
